Little Bird Blast Off – iPhone Camera Tip -Three photos – Please Scroll Down

I was quietly enjoying some seed. I got a fright. To get away quickly I lifted my wings up high and then pumped down. Hard. In the flash. I was away! The three pictures are stills from a slow motion video (set at 4K at 30 fps. 4K at 60 fps might have been better) taken with an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Thanks to my son in London for the “stills from video” tip. The looped video is at the bottom. In the video note how the bird at the top drops down and then takes off. Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Sitting calmly but alert
I get a fright – wing/s up!
Wings down. Blast off! I am g!one.

Montague Bird Sanctuary- Leidam

In the centre of the small and beautiful town of Montague, 180 km from Cape Town in South Africa is the Leidam Bird Sanctuary. According to Professor Google, 52 species of birds have been identified there. If you go to Montague don’t miss it. Perhaps the Sacred Ibis is the star. As you can see, I am still feeling my way with iMovie using my iPhone! Enjoy.

Cosmic soup accident

This bird evolved by chance out of the cosmic soup of the universe? Dream on! To God be the Glory.

Thank you to MB for the photo taken in January 2022
