Today, my grandson sent me this beautiful picture of fog on the Gunpowder river in Baltimore. The water in the river is very cold and is reacting with the extremely hot air. It is very hot in Baltimore at present.
The Gunpowder river is where my Granson enjoys fly fishing.
Enjoy.

Do you think it is the flanges on the wheels? Sorry, not right! Ok, it must be a differential. Sorry, not right again! But there must be a differential because the outside wheel travels further going round the bend. Sorry, there is no differential! What’s more the axle between the two wheels is solid. So what is going on?
Let the late Richard Feynman explain. Among the many awards he received he won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1965. Feynman’s ability to explain something is amazing. Click here. Enjoy. Also click here for another explanation.

Calling all parents. Listen to this TED Talk if you want to learn how to really help your child who is struggling at school. The talk is not about how to make sure your child gets an “A” every time. You will learn how to give your child something much more valuable which will last a lifetime. To see the TED Talk Click here.
The TED talk is by Dr. Carol Dweck, an American Psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Stanford in the United States.

Has 2020 been a year in which your basic assumptions have been challenged? Have your basic assumptions changed about yourself and the planet in which we live? My guess is they have – for you and for millions of people all over the world. Are you disturbed by what has happened in 2020? Should you be?
Dr. Ian McCallum of Port Elizabeth, South Africa has written about these challenges to our assumptions in a very important “must read” article.
To see the article click here.
Dr. McCallum is a psychiatrist, psychologist, award winning author and poet. He is an adjunct professor at the Nelson Mandela Graduate School of Business in Port Elizabeth. He is also an honorary lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cape Town. In his youth he was a Springbok Rugby player (he represented South Africa).
Thank you.
Beautiful flowers beyond description photographed by our friend in the Royal National Park in Sydney. Amazing colors. And look at the environmentally friendly coastal walkway. What a wonderful place. And yes, that is a spider web.

Thanks again to our Australian friend for the pictures
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
Ecclesiastes 3: 3 & 4
Sometimes the Bay is lashed by storms.
Sometimes the Bay is calm.

In due season, calm, peaceful times will return for us and for all our loved ones.

Trust God
This tranquil scene was photographed this morning. It is the Gunpowder River in Baltimore, Maryland in the USA. Fly fishing is popular there. How fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful world.
Hang in there everybody.
We are going to get through this pandemic.

Another masterclass by our two good friends who have many years experience producing meals “off the grid” in the African Bush (Addo). This time it is cooking ribeye steak using a Cobb gas cooker. No coals to clean up. Instant heat. A mouth watering result!

Thanks again to our two good and very “bush smart” friends.
The Kudu prepares to jump and then jumps. See the two pictures below. Taken in the Addo Elephant Park. South Africa. Such power and grace.
