I was quietly enjoying some seed. I got a fright. To get away quickly I lifted my wings up high and then pumped down. Hard. In the flash. I was away! The three pictures are stills from a slow motion video (set at 4K at 30 fps. 4K at 60 fps might have been better) taken with an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Good friends of ours have just been to the Birds of Eden Free Flight Sanctuary in Plettenberg Bay in South Africa where they took these great pictures. Aren’t the colours amazing! “Joseph, don’t be too envious!”
